Randall Hinton, a long-time WWASP employee and director, has reportedly admitted to using pepper spray on students and spraying it in their eyes from a distance of about 2 feet.

At least one student was reportedly hog-tied when he was sprayed by Hinton.

Hinton also admitted to diapering a teenager with a plastic garbage bag after the child had been pepper-sprayed.

Hinton has stated that he had the approval of Director Jay Kay.

Spring Creek Lodge in Montana opened in 1996. Hinton was at one point the Assistant Director.

Tranquility Bay opened in 1997. Randall Hinton was the Assistant Director. Hinton admits using pepper spray on students. Randall is quoted on video tape saying:

"I think I can remember Layne being pepper-sprayed more than once a day. I know he was pepper-sprayed more than two times a day. I don't think it would have been more than three times ... and from somebody on the outside looking in, I would say it would be abusive."

Randall Hinton has worked at several WWASP facilities.

Hinton, along with school Vice President Brian Lemons, opened The Royal Gorge Academy in Colorado, in the spring of 2006.

Hinton was arrested on felony false imprisonment charges in January of 2007.

Randall Hinton of Cañon City, 32, will face misdemeanor charges in connection to the January Cañon City Police Department investigation into allegations that Hinton was abusive toward students at the private boarding school.

Since his arrest he has been placed on administrative leave.

Hinton requests move

The Royal Gorge Academy co-director who faces misdemeanor assault and false imprisonment charges has requested his bond be modified to allow for a move out of state.

Randall Hinton of Cañon City, 32, appeared Friday in Judge Norman Cooling’s Fremont County courtroom, alongside his attorney Michael Gillick. A motion was filed by Gillick to allow for Hinton to relocate to Utah, where he has lived before.

The hearing was continued to allow Deputy District Attorney Thom LeDoux time to consider the defense motion.

“There are seven to eight victims in this case,” he said. “I need a chance to digest this.”

Hinton is facing seven counts of third-degree assault, a Class I misdemeanor, and two counts of false imprisonment, a Class II misdemeanor following in connection with a January Cañon City Police Department investigation into allegations that Hinton was abusive toward students at the private boarding school.

The Academy was opened by Hinton and co-director Brian Lemons in the spring of 2006. The school houses boys and girls, ages 13-17, who have been sent to the school for various issues, including behavioral and academic problems.

A felony false imprisonment count against Hinton was dropped by the District Attorney’s Office in March.

The current misdemeanor charges carry with them potential jail time of two years for third-degree assault and one year for false imprisonment, for each count.

Hinton is scheduled to appear in county court again at 11 a.m. April 30 for the hearing.

He remains free on a $2,500 bond.

"OK, now I want to make a film about pyscho, completley amoral, unfeeling goons who torture chidlren...now how can I "visualize" those character traits through my actors"

Beefy, the "redneck" slur made literal with flesh that looks covered in diaper rash, the flabbyness- like they have eaten nothing but beef and cheese for 40 years, the waspy vaguely inbred look of pug noses too small and drooping cheeks. It like the cast of deliverance without the folksiness

As I look forward to your colorful and accurate descriptions of these wwasps goons, I couldn't have put it beter myself. I think if a movie was made showing the daily existence of kids at Tranquility bay, high impact, casa, spring creek, cross creek and that new pregnancy one, nobody would believe it, like thewho and that other poster did not believe that they would throw a boy in the ocean. And here I am saying to myself, he listed 'sexually abused in every way' and they find throwing him in the ocean during a storm unbelievable? I'm like, they raped this young man who sent by his parents to 'get help' and that is the most unbelievable part? Sometimes I just don't get it. And you know, there is so many of these goons you would need an encyclopedia dedicated to these people. It is funny how they seem to live up to their stereotype although I've seen some very smooth looking abusers as well. Have you seen the wwasps documentary with the interview with Randall? That is where I lifted this picture from. In this clip he is explaining in detail abuse he did to a boy who is no longer with us, horribel abuse. HIs demented eyes say it all, and his attempt at the pizza analogy that they teach the wwasps buffoons is frighteningly inadequate for someone who has worked at the company for all those years, and still can't memorize the sales pitch, oh, there's no hope for randall. The movie would shock you, even what Ken Kay admits to while being depositioned. This makes me believe the theory of fornits, that the best weapon against these people is to give them a microphone. If I ever make a movie about WWASPS I would go into it telling them I am making a pro-wwasps documentary, and interview them in that context, and see what spills out.
