i am possibly going to be booed off the board for saying this but i think the numbers of kids in such programmes is kind of heartening. i actually was beginning to imagine it was a whole lot worse. 20000 is a frightening # but given the enormity of the US population it is not like people are sending their kids to these places in droves. perhaps the enormous price tag of these places saves a lot of kids from the TBS fate. i would be interested to se how many kids are in this industry compared with how many kids go to regular boarding school.
