Know one goes until everyone has a ride home! Finally, someone goes out of their way and the whole group yells "WE LOVE YOU". Just another memory.

The Seed Discussion Forum / New Article

A good article! However, for every negative there is a positive. I am pretty sure that my 18 months at the mind controlling Seed was much better than the 20 years at florida's hotel at Raiford. What do ya think? Its to bad we all dont live in countries like singapore where programs like the Seed dont exist. Its was such a terrible thing! I really hate what the Seed did for me.I am so glad for this site because it reminds me how bad my life has been ruined because someone cared.

I cant speak for the other branchs of the Seed but I knew the Doc who gave his time (free) for many years at the 84 facility. His wife was a nurse and he had a private office in Lauderdale. He treated many pts in the community that were the poor and forgotten out of his own pocket. For those that knew Dr. P. Ryser you now what a great man he was. I beleive that just like many social programs it starts with great aspirations and good intentions but with time ,money and numbers the end result becomes cloudy and harder to obtain.Could it be that the Staff members were truly misinformed (big head) or just the medical questions were never asked? Just as bed wetting was never mentioned at the intake to the Seed by the client one can see that It now becomes the Seeds fault. I belive our leaders(USA) now just like then(Seed)have vision problems. They see whats in it for them. Not what they were originally tasked to do. As far as not asking for help when one was sick I can see that the fact of asking for help(teasing) implies that one is weak. This was also the mind set of many in the armed forces. If one caught the clap he was demoated in rank and fined. How many people do you think told their higher ups? This caused even a more serious problem down the road. How many people have had back problems /fibromyalgia and have been told that it was in their head and that they need to see a head man.I no that I got of the subject but wasnt floor staff acting like this? That is  was happens when dealing in shear numbers and no accountabillty. From reading other threads it seems the end of the Seed started with a lot of finger pointing.Does it sound familar?

Yea ,We had a christmas talent show.It was during an open meeting. The turkey was  made to taste like a pbj and the gravy tasted just like kool aid. I think we had an orange that was picked from the over grown  grove that the compound was in.

I remember the only time that I was told to stand up and tell what was going on with me was during a guys rap. At the same time a good friend of mine Michael, (we car pooled together to and from south Dade) was also told to stand up. I really think that the staff was searching to see if we would break and confess to something, anything.I remember Robert pacing back and forth and pointing , he seem to get more aggressive as we kept saying that we were just fine and that nothing was up. Cliff,Nick,Robert and John all had their shots at us along with few of the other kids in the group.I think now maybe the reason for this sceen was they really had no info from others that lived in our area. That night when were getting ready to leave(Who can give a ride time) Libby came onto the floor and tried to get someone to give Michael a rid home. She didnt want us riding together any more. No reason that I knew of. This lasted only for a couple of days and we were back riding together again. Finally, when we were back riding home together again I asked Michael what he thought the stand up deal was about? He laughed, and said that he had seen that line before and that one of us was fixing to get of the program. Mike was gone wthin two weeks. Was it just a shot in the dark? Could it be a test for Robert? Was it a test for Mike and Me? I will never know. Not long after this I was asked by Libby if I wanted to be a trucker. A reward under the guise of a watchful eye ? I think not. Just free labor.

The Seed Discussion Forum / HOW MANY MADE IT?
« on: June 06, 2005, 05:46:00 PM »
I wonder how many kids made it to the end of program? How many kids from the courts made it? Would the numbers be the same for all rehabs? What would be the numbers for the ones who came back. To bad this info wasnt kept in some federal file cabinet that the fredom of info. act could be used for.
