CEDU (and derivatives) / Re: Bankruptcy and Acquisitions

No, did they do that there? It may have been a Charter thing. I read a CBS expose about Charter facilities, and an employee of eighteen years was almost fired gor turning away a patient who had insurance. The patient did not appear in need of inpatient treatment, but the policy was to take whatever the insurance covered, regardless of medical neccessity or lack thereof. Part of the investigation was for defrauding the govt. by padding insurance claims (for govt. funded patients) and part was for patient abuse.

I don't know. 'seems like they took everything when I was there. The brown binders meant you were covered for a year and hoing to stay there that long. I had a blue one. Everyone told me "two months" as soon as I got there, and they were right. They color coded the folders to match your coverage, and coverage dictated the time frame.

So, I was trying to track down the history of my behavioral health center, and I realized that they went bankrupt, got bought out, and were renamed something almost identical to their original name, retaining original staff, and continuing seamlessly in their operations.

Research indicates that a LOT of these places have done that, sometimes, just dropping the initials after their names, sometimes adding initials. I was in a program that was being investigated for insurance fraud on a mass scale, as well as for patient abuse.

They changed their names and went bankrupt, so the investigation was dropped.

At this point what can even be done to compensate the people who suffered long term damage from abuse at these facilities? Anything?

My mistake, y'all. She was not WWASP.

A few years ago, someone on a parenting site read a post about some trouble I had with my extended family that largely stemmed from the really messed up roles set by the TTF's I was in as a teen. She passed me a note and told me about this site and a few other resources. It was exactly what I needed. I wanted yo thank her, but all I know is that she is a WWASP survivor and lives in CA. I'm going to the SIA convention in CA and would like to say thanks in person, of possible. Please, send me a message, if you think this is you or someone you know. Sorry, I forgot her name. I am terrible with names.

Your new book can't be shared via Twitter, either. Maybe, there are some settings you can tweak? I don't know. These are the only two books I haven't been able to quote.

There is a glitch with A Life Gone Awry. I tried to share it on Twitter three times in the last couple of weeks, but it doesn't work. I don't have this problem with other books.

Very cool. I finished the other one last week.

Aspen Education Group / University of Phoenix

Romney is pushing University of Phoenix, and University of Phoenix seems to supply a chunk of the staffs at different Aspen Education Group schools. Is there a connection? Is University of Phoenix involved more deeply than just supplying the credentials?

New Info / Re: Charter Lakeside Hospital or Deneuville Heights?

Lakeside is actually now the Recovery Ac
ademy at Lakeside, or something. It is not a Charter Hospital, anymore, but a Universal Hospital Services owned treatment center. I think it is Straight-based, but not as severe.
Anybody been to a place owned by UHS?

Thanks for this suggestion. I couldn't get it on Kindle, so I ordered Help at any Cost, which I love. I just, I thought I was being crazy and difficult and neurotic to harbour such strong feelings about those places. I feel relief when I read how cookie cutter they were. I feel less like I was the problem. I'm really happy to have found this forum.

Mott the Hoople today.

I suppose we will listen to Christ on Parade tomorrow.

It's been a while since I listened to the Kinks, and I miss it. I take terrible care of my records.
