Parental Violence in the group

I saw a lot of posts on open meetings but I didnt see this one. Perhaps because it was rare. One night during open meeting the boys side exploded into a brawl. In fact is was such a classic that no one broke for the door. Chairs went flying and ties got ripped and people were boxing it out with whoever was not in their click. Later they said it was my fault for cursing at someone but I think the blame couldnt be all on me as the guys side was obviously in a morale slump. To be honest though I found it rather glorious. In fact there was only one restraint. Everyone else just resorted to slugging. The girls side had some FOS 5th phaser who broke out crying and pleading "stop the insanity" aside from the shiner and busted mouth I was laughing. I truly had not felt that stoked in a long time. The one kid who got restrained was a friend of mine named Paul Palermo. Anyway his Dad went off and took a swing at another Dad who was helping in the restraint. Then the place started rocking. It was quite a scene for us considering we only see our parents once a week. (I saw mine once a month) How often did this happen in the other locations. We only saw it once but we heard it sometimes happened in closed meetings and parent weekends.

By the way Paul I really had alot of respect for your old man that night. Alot of heart!! For once a guy stepped up for his own and set aside all that "love you Paul" bullshit. Definitely heartfelt.

I remmeber Paul Palermo.  His sister and I were friends before I went in.  We would both talk about all the guys on the guys side during open meeting and we would sneak out and smoke cigs, ( the reason I was put in there), but then when I got put in, she totally humiliated me by confronting me during open meeting.  I could not believe it.  I think  she was scared that she was going to get put in.  Sorry, just had to vent.
