when i said the pro pv alumni over on myspace were foulmouthed critters, i did not mean they were swearing
it's one thing to use foul language as an adjective or an explanitive, it's another thing to use it as a verb

did you guys cross saw your fire wood? 
we did that a lot of work detail days. 
it's freaken hard as hell. 
they time you, and give you really short times to get things done in?
didn't they reward you guys with condiments and deserts for meeting work quotas?
they did this to the girls and it was the main mantra on work days.
were you guys as tightly scheduled? 
everything we did was timed and scheduled, it sucked because we didn't have enough time to do anything.
five minute showers are not easy to pull off, so people would always go over and the whole group would be punished. 
i think the counselors on the girls side might have been a bit more sadistic then yours were.
ours were just non stop you know.  it was like jesus, don't you people ever just want to chill.
it was always something with them, which was horrible because so many of the girls were out of abusive situations so the constant sort of flinch reaction you have to never being able to avoid consequences and trauma was just compounded
we really did try extremely hard to avoid being punished but it made no difference on the girls side
like i said very few people in my group made it past the second level and then staff would just take their levels away when they sneezed funny or something.

if you read properly you would have seen that YES we chopped wood.
Our section of the campus was over ridden with pine beetles so we not only had to chop wood to stay warm but also the trees that were always falling around our cabin.

we got our fair share of sadistic staff members. But I honestly think the reason we got off lighter then you girls did is because the staff wanted to push us as far as they could, but not to the point where we would snap and kill them.

Think about it, 12 teenage well build boys against one or two staff members.

The odds were in our favor so they never pushed us too far out of fear of rebellion.

ahh yes chopping wood and sawing it.. warm yourself 2 times with that good fun.

nope, dead pine is not a good source of firewood. we had to load it in to trucks and burn it elsewhere... but not in the cabins.

It was like doing volunteer work with out the gratification of doing a good deed.

Dead pine burns just as well as anything else.. I used to cut down dead pine trees with a chainsaw and section it so the boys could chop it up to use as firewood for outdoor fires. We normally used harder wood for our cabin fires.

By the time they got tired of my ass and flung me out into the much better cooler fantabulous world we had the biggest woodpile on campus. Just about blew my back out keeping up with the little rotters chopping and sawing though.. Used to have to eat advil by the handful on those days. Right before we would go to bed I'd stretch my back out and hear the vertabraes pop like a damn machine gun.

Did the Staff/goons work with you all at PV or were they the more sit around and bark orders types?

when I say not good for burning, I meant supposedly the smoke released by the bark and wood is dangerous to a room full of people. At least thats what we were told.

Depended. If they got bored they would help.

But mostly they would just sit back and watch.

meh, whatever. Anyone that works at PV is a lazy fuck in my opinion... Why get a job at a place where you get yelled at for not doing any labor when you can get paid to yell at kids and make them do labor.
