Sounds very interesting. It would fun & it would be nice to see and be with fellow straight people as their own relaxed selves. I have not seen one of you (except for Wanda).

Since you put on that concert every year for charity anyway, you should keep this forum & the Straight Alumni.com site posted whenever you have updates. You would have to give us the exact info regarding the camp ground (especially for those that have kids).

I'm interviewing for jobs right now because my husband just got fired. He's looking for a new job too. So, it would ultimately depend on whether or not we could both be off at the same time.

What kind of music do you play? I hope not "Bows and Flows of Angel Hair & Ice Cream Castles in the Air" which is a song the girls regularly had to sing in girls group. Although that song was way better than some of the other ridiculous things we were forced to sing "s-t-r-a-i-g-h-t i-n-c, straight inc, ad nauseum".

Do you know who Edwin McCain is? I think he was good friends w/Hootie & the Blow Fish band members. He was put in a place like Straight. I don't know the details. But, when I heard that about his past it made me really listen to the words of his songs to see if anything was revealing.

That's awesome you have a band! :nworthy:

Holy Sheep Shit, Batman!

http://www.twin-music.com/lyrics_file/e ... rough.html

Quote
Edwin McCain
Through the Floor
Bathed in sunlight woke from
Dreams of murderous intention
Pursued by dogs and men and things
I'm just too scared to mention
And the first thing that I think of
Are her sympathetic eyes
That see with only positive emotion

And she talks of being grumpy
But I know that grumpy's not her style
And I soak up all her beauty
'Cause I'm only here a while
I muddle through my docket, and nestle in the pocket
I just sit back and think about the world

And the only thing I see
When she's looking back at me
Is the promise of how life could be

And as I wrote my chest got tight for her
I know I'm not right for her
I couldn't live if I ever caused her pain

But at least I have a message that I can leave
That tells her of this spin inside
My gears turning. I'm still learning to trust myself
But at least I've told her of this difficult good-bye...

Seven minutes before I'm leaving
And now my chest is heaving
I just can't go like I did before
And tomorrow I'll be miles away and dreaming
That she hears my voice floating through the floor

And tomorrow I'll be miles away and dreaming
That she hears my voice floating through the floor...
Through the floor

That she hears my voice

Tomorrow I'll be miles away and dreaming
That she hears my voice floating through the floor

Our nada who art in nada, nada be thy name. Thy kingdom nada, thy will be nada as it is in nada. Give us this nada our daily nada and nada us our nada as we nada our nadas and nada us into nada but deliver us from nada; pues nada. Hail nothing full of nothing, nothing is with thee.

Oh, I'm there. And w/ as many members of Clan Warbis as I can herd in the same direction at the same time. But on one condition. We'll only come if we may refer to the event, publicly and privately, not as a str8 reunion, but only as Matt's kick ass two day gig for charity out in Indianna.

Deal?

You know....if the Seed was in Utah, who knows how many "wives" the old bastard would have.

Why did the hippy put an invite to his gig out on Fornits?

To confuse his friends. See, if we all turn up, every time somebody calls out "Hey Hippie!", he'll be the only one who doesn't either answer or dive under a table.

Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.
